Did you know there are over 3600 colleges and universities in the United States, most of which are not widely know but are outstanding schools with strong reputations? Are you aware that some out-of-state schools cost less than a UC or private California school? During your first meeting with your consultant a review of your transcripts, test scores, extracurricular activities, sports, finances, etc., will be done. A profile will be developed to conduct a comprehensive search for multiple colleges and universities which match the criteria of the student and family’s needs. Assistance with the application process and campus tours are included. (This program does not include financial aid/scholarship assistance, or assistance with the personal statement, or the admission essay.)

Understanding the College Application

The college application process has significantly changed over the past several years. Some universities have independent applications, some use a common application, and most require 2-3 essays and supplemental paperwork in addition to the application. Often times earler deadlines are required if applying for school sponsored financial aid and scholarships. Receive personalized assistance on how to complete a comprehensive college application. Your consultant will review and give feedback about your application prior to submittal. (This program does not include the personal statement, or the admission essay.)

Review and Assistance with the College Essay

Are you wondering what to write about for your college admissions essay? There is a good chance that others have chosen the same topic you have. Receive personal assistance with developing a specific topic for your college essay based on the current prompt provided by the college. You will learn how to choose a specific topic, within the guise of the prompt, so a competitive essay can be submitted. Technical evaluation and feedback provided. Student meets with a personal consultant 3 times: once to discuss and evaluate successful essays, and twice to review their personal essay.

Personal College Planner and Calendar

Meet with your consultant and create an individualized planner/ calendar in order to track academic classes, testing dates, application dates, campus tours, seminars, scholarships, events, associated costs, etc.
